Hello, I am Crystal the Pet Nanny. My core focus - my passion – is delivering peace of mind for you while building relationships with you and your animal friend(s).

I have a lifetime of experience with animals, having grown up on a farm, and caring for my own animals. Currently, my family includes a dog, a cat, and a freshwater plecostomus fish.

I have spent a lifetime observing cat behavior. This reinforces my deep and innate understanding of cats. I earned my Feline Behavior and Psychology Diploma, graduating with distinction, in March of 2021, My certification in Feline Behavior and Cat Training from Animal Behavior College in April of 2026, and I am currently pursuing certification with IAABC (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants) with a specialty in feline behavior.

I also love dogs and have plenty of experience walking and playing with energetic dogs, and have developed a real appreciation for canine energy as well.

I worked in the veterinary industry for many years beginning in 1996 in Portland, Oregon, and my nanny-ing journey followed right along through 7 years in general practice in Portland and then from 2013 to 2016 here in the Valley of the Sun at a veterinary ophthalmology specialty practice.

In the beginning, I offered my nanny services as a hobby sitter, working directly for clients of the practice as they were seeking recommendations for pet sitters.

After moving to the Phoenix Metro area in 2008, Crystal the Pet Nanny became official in 2012. I currently work with all kinds of animals, including dogs, cats, fish, rodents, birds, reptiles, and others.
